| Please read: I have decided to start using "Theme's" for naming of the litters. This is due to the fact that most people who adopt the rats as pets do not register them with the NARR. Because of this, i will be registering EVERY baby rat born here. This will make my job easier (as long as the adopters keep in contact with me) be allowing ME to accurately update the NARR database. Therefore, helping breeders who have adopted from me, and helping myself, to breed the right way. I will give the rat a registered name, but adopters can call them anything they want. Babies Due: August 9th, 2006 Theme: "On the Rocks": Examples: Taj Mahal, Rum and Coke, Bacardi, Magarita, Southern Comfort, Etc. What to expect: Black, Agouti, Mink, Cinnamon, beige, fawn. Possibly Blue based colors as well. Temperment: These babies should be very relaxed and calm. Tequila is my most laid back girl, she'll sit on my lap and groom my fingers while she watches her sister and friends cause mischief. Grady is a super sweet boy, he loves his humans, but he also loves to play with his buddies. He's yet to grow out of those "little boy games". Type: These babies should have excellent type. Grady has nice ears and a nice overall confirmation. Tequila is a "full figured" lady, with a nice nose and eyes. Her ears need a little work, but Grady's near perfect ones should balance it out. =) Goal(s): This is an outcross. Please read this article to get a better idea of how outcrossing is a useful tool for rat breeders. Nebula was the result of an inbreeding between a brother and sister to "breed out" any bad genes. Now we must continue the line, and i've decided to do so, at this stage, with an outcross. |
