| Please read: I have decided to start using "Theme's" for naming of the litters. This is due to the fact that most people who adopt the rats as pets do not register them with the NARR. Because of this, i will be registering EVERY baby rat born here. This will make my job easier (as long as the adopters keep in contact with me) be allowing ME to accurately update the NARR database. Therefore, helping breeders who have adopted from me, and helping myself, to breed the right way. I will give the rat a registered name, but adopters can call them anything they want. Examples: Ford, Chevy, Honda, Toyota, Neon, Shadow, Camaro, Firebrid, Thunderbird, Lexus, Mazda, Ranger, Silverado, Azure, Infinity, Acura, Lumina and much more! What to expect: Black, Agouti, American blue, and American blue agouti. Rex and Standard Coats, all dumbo's. Hoping for some marked pups. Temperment: These babies should be well tempered rats, Nebula is an inquisitive girl, and Perry is a typical lazy and cuddly boy. I'm hoping the temperments will balance out, and we will have quiet but playful bubs. Type: Large. Neb has always been the biggest baby from her litter, and is bigger than most of my females that are close to her age. Perry is gigantic, the biggest squishiest boy. They should have nice ears, and big, bright, and alert eyes. Goal(s): This is an outcross. Please read this article to get a better idea of how outcrossing is a useful tool for rat breeders. Nebula was the result of an inbreeding between a brother and sister to "breed out" any bad genes. Now we must continue the line, and i've decided to do so, at this stage, with an outcross. | Pictures Taken September 5th. The babies are impossible to keep in the cage once the door opens. Gee, i wonder who they could possibly get that from? *Notice Nebula in the third picture, she is in mid flight, ready to jump out the door and straight unto me. Silly girl, teaching the bubs such horrible things! =) |
