| PVR Chardonnay x LS Shrek Litter Theme: Fine Wines |
| Please read: I have decided to start using "Theme's" for naming of the litters. This is due to the fact that most people who adopt the rats as pets do not register them with the NARR. Because of this, i will be registering EVERY baby rat born here. This will make my job easier (as long as the adopters keep in contact with me) be allowing ME to accurately update the NARR database. Therefore, helping breeders who have adopted from me, and helping myself, to breed the right way. I will give the rat a registered name, but adopters can call them anything they want. Stats: ---here you can view information on the condition of Chardonnay and her growing litter--- 5/5/06: Char had her babies last night. It was a difficult delivery, more so for the pups than for the mother. The first four or five were stillborn and never even took a breath. We are not sure why. After that, it was hard to tell what was happening. She was having them way too rapidly, one after another, and had no time to clean each baby. I intervened, and was able to save one pup that was gasping for air through the film around its face. I then had to rub life back into it to stimulate it to breath. The other two i tried to save, it was two late. I was upset, and finally decided to let nature take its course. When i left the Rat Room, there was one baby that was alive. This morning, five babies greeted me. Three girls, Two boys. The girl that i tried to save last night is not doing well. She's very pale, and very bruised (thats how i know which baby it is that i saved). I'm not sure what her chances are. 6/17/06: One pair of gorgeous young ladies available! These two are so sweet, i can't believe nobody has snatched them up yet :( More info on each indivual pup at the bottom of the page. Due to the fact that most of the stillborn babies, and the ones that didnt make it were light eye'd, we are left with only dark eyed (black) babies. These babies could also possibly be blue. Babies Due: April 30, 2006-May 8, 2006 ~*With the estimated date of conception, i'm guessing 5/5/06*~ Babies Born Late on May 4, 2005. Labor started around 9:30-10:00pm. More info at the bottom of the page. Theme: Famous Musical Artists. I changed the theme, because i could not think of hardly any names for the "fine wines" theme. We are shooting for famous singers/groups, from this year. Examples: Sean Paul, Trace Adkins, Ciara, Shakira, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Nickleback, Black Eye'd Pea's, and many more if i need them! LOL. What to expect: Seal point Siamese and black. Probably beige, with a slim chance for American blue and Platinum/American blue point siamese and Platinum Point Siamese. Rex, Standard, and Double rex coats, chance for hairless. Standard and dumbo ears, all self markings. Temperment: Calm, cool, and collected...hopefully :) This is Shrek's 3rd "girlfriend". His other litters were amazing, he did a great job of passing on his size and temperment. Shrek will lay on my lap and enjoy his side scratched. He loves when i kiss him on the belly, and he'll lay on his back on my lap for me to tickle and pick at him. Chardonnay is a very quiet girl, shy but in a good way. She takes after her mother, she's not outgoing enough to seak out fun and mischief, but she'll join in when it comes her way. Type: Huge, beefy rats (i hope), Daddy is a giant squishy furry ball of fun. Shrek is my biggest boy, only Black Jack has even come close to catching up to him(and thats his grandson!). Goal(s): Inbreeding to bring out hidden recessives (father to daughter) |

| PVR Kelly Clarkson somehow escaped her cage and was in with my boys. I cannot tell if she mated or not, but I am keeping her on pregnancy watch. If she is pregnant, she is too young to have a litter, but i would do my best. Keep her in your thoughts. |
